The History of Quantum Paradox

"Remember back when Radiohead was good? yeah, me neither"

lol, anyway: this is how my current band got started

Having first arrived at UMass Lowell in the Fall of 2009, i had just quit my last band "Inimicus" to create a brand new one with the people i met here. Don't get me wrong "Inimicus" was great fun, but with me going to college, and them still in high school, there would be schedule conflicts up the wazoo.

Pretty soon, a friend from Westford, Roger Maillet, and I. got together to start formulating ideas for a band. We brought in my friend Steve Choinski to play drums. I knew Steve played drums because we were in the Marching Band together at UML. The original line up was as follows.

Roger - Guitar/vox
Me - Bass
Steve - Drums

Then comes Spring of 2010:

Before we even scheduled our first practice ever, Steve had to opt out. :( this left the band with a void to fill. Also, Roger claimed that he wanted to only do vocals, as also focusing on an instrument would be difficult. ok, 2 voids. Having been an intern on the Stress Factor, UML's most brutal radio show, I met with a guitarist that I've known from my orientation group, Enzo Albanese. I asked him if he wanted to be part of a punk band i'm starting, and he agreed.

Roger recruited a drummer that was in a band he used to be in himself. The band was Cougar Bait, and the drummer was Chris Cook. Little did i know that Chris Cook, was the Chris that i was getting along with in my Basic Music Theory class that semester. so i practically already knew the guy.
Lineup at this point:

Roger - Vox
Enzo - Guitar
Me - Bass
Chris - Drums

This would be the lineup for our first set of shows, and when we recorded our Demo. By this time, i had written 4 songs that we could play. Watching Stars, Bed Of Nails, Don't Do It, and Hangin In. Also, by this time, i had brought in my friend in Music Business, Stuart Huntington to be our manager. We recorded with Stu's Roommate (SRT major) and we recorded our first demo. It included the 4 songs listed above. Shortly after this however, Roger quit the band to focus on school. Chris went to an old friend of his, an ex-cougar bait singer, and brought him in to QP. Alex De La Cruz would become their vocalist.
Lineup at this point/Lineup Now:

Alex - Vox
Enzo - Guitar
Me - Bass
Chris - Drums

They recently recorded "Nuclear Love EP" and it's going to be released very very soon
